Thompson Leaves Civil Suit

Game Politics has word that Jack Thompson has exited the Alabama civil suit in the case of video games being responsible for the slaying of three police officers saying "the other side wants to make me the issue. The important thing is that the clients be served." He further states that "it was my idea" to leave the case, and that he wasn't pressured by Alabama Circuit Court Judge James Moore to withdraw.
The suit will still go forward from this point, but it can still be dismissed through the motion put forth by the defense last week. Thomson even stated that his exit was inevitable since he will likely take the stand as a witness in the case.
