Widgets and gadgets not behaving properly

Why dont widgets and gadgets behave the same as when there desktopx objects, For example if i make sidebar and get it working just the way i want it, then export it as a gadget or widget, the z-order no longer works correctly and it has lost my workarea settings?

Those are just couple without even mentioning more important things like the systray and taskbar!

Is there a fix for this?

One of desktopx greatest features is having the ability to export as a gadget,
I have spent so much time on creating a complete desktop, which is been plagued by gadget exporting problems
i need to find out what the cause is as i have really spent far to much time!

Well, it sounds like they are exporting exactly the way they are supposed to export. Gadgets and Widgets arent designed to be 'full desktop' applications. If you'd like to get the ability to export you 'desktops' with all the work area settings, etc, you'll need DestkopX Enterprise Edition, which lets you do that. There isnt a fix, because its not a problem... the program wont assign Widgets or Gadgets values like workarea, and things like that. It can only assign a widget or gadget the properties that are set on the objects within them, not the 'DesktopX environment'.

The ability to export desktops, but that means that its not actually going to be standalone gadget? I will need for desktopx enterprise to be running?

Maybe im asking the wrong questions,Would desktopx enterprise create a full standalone desktop?

DesktopX Enterprise edition would enable you to create a complete standalone desktop replacement.
