Those Melancholy Skies

A poem...it's been awhile...I hope I'm not rusty.

When you look at the grey skies,
Those dark, foreboding skies,
What does it remind you of?

A lost love?
Or one that never existed?
The death of someone dear to you?

What does the weather say to you?
Does it remind you of depression?
And fill you with melancholy?

Sometimes nature shows,
It shows what you feel,
A visual of your hopelessness.

How sweet a sunny day can seem,
‘Till clouds roll in,
And put an end to the blessed beam.

Woe to those melancholy skies,
That bring sadness to our weary eyes,
A pitiful salute to when our soul cries.

I like this one, Shaun. It seems your thoughts flow right through your fingers on this-and I do tend to relate the weather to feelings and past experiances. Neat!
