Problem when taking over planet

The game does not take me to the planet(s) screen to make changes to production, etc.. Just goes onto the next movement or event. I have to go find planets I took over the next time the game stops and waits for me to input something.

Having the planet view pop up when capturing a planet would be a nice improvement to playability. I often find myself devising methods to remember where they are, then finding that my methods don't quite work. This should also work for planets acquired in trade. Lack of such a popup also puts a requirement on players to use Autoturn = OFF.

It can also be embarrasing if they were building "inappropriate" social projects. You really don't need your SO to see that unexpected popup announcing that you've just finished building your people a Bondage Nightclub or a Naughty Satellite Television Network.

What do you mean you don't have those in your game? They're quite the morale boosters on the right planets.

For some reason, one of my planets is REALLY taking to the Leather 'n Ice Cream "Men's Club".

Jotun and mdloafer,

I haven't actually tried adding any morale boosters (would that even work?) but after some games have gone on for a while I often wish that there a few more big morale boosters for those *really* depressed planets that jump up to 80%-100% when you give them teleporters or terraforming but then drop right back down to 40% again, or even those planets that cruise along at 100% for a while and then start creeping down into the 90s and 80s. I haven't figured out what causes that.

Maybe I'll give some mods a try if it's possible. Will the AI research custom topics or build custom items based on their affects versus their cost or something?

Speaking of planet list, would it be possible to have the List of all planets (not only colonized ones). Example - If playing Huge, and have found few good planets to colonize, it is easy to forget where EXACTLY they are when you finally finished Colony ship.

Jotun,

The decline in morale is caused by the increase in population. Since you need the increased population to increase production it is a good idea to build the social projects that improve morale from time to time. This will become more important in Beta 3 which, we are told, will finally have the code for the effects of poor morale (defections, rebelions, etc.).
