DesktopX client question

I noticed that someone mentioned they cannot clone my Christmas Lights object. I know with the "standard" versions of DX you do this in DX Builder, but can you clone with just the client version? http://islanddog.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=3767&LibID=3&comments=1

well, if you rotated the image first, that'll be a problem. If you just used the script though, it should be fine.

I didn't change the image in an editor. Opened up Builder Mode on DX. Then left clicked for menu and chose Properties. Went to Script Edit, erased what was there and inserted the script as you posted it. I then saved and applied and what I now have on the desktop is an object that just flashes "on and off" (makes the whole image disappear and reapear like a flashing yellow light at an intersection). I then tried just replacing the first part of the script with what you posted and still had the same effect on the object image...flashing on and off. I think I'll just wait and see if ID adds other images or if I have the time and patience to play with it, I'll just rotate the image in an editor and then try and create a new oject with it. Unless ID can post a modified script here for how to rotate the image that I can copy and paste into the old script (I'm just not into scripting enough or have time enough to learn it myself at the time).

There wasn't a script for those Christmas Lights, so I don't know what you changed.

Give me a day or two and I will make a new package with vertical and horizontal in one .zip.

Also, let me ask.  Do you think it's better to have a small section of lights like it is now, or would you prefer I make a "long" string that will fit on most desktops?

Bichur is right about the animation and how it is affected by Object.Rotation. Looking forward to new versatile version.

I like small. If you make them easily clonable, people can put them next to each other to form longer strands.

small - easier to clone to fit different sizes

That was my original thought, but I wanted some user opinions.  Thanks.

See my reply in your post on the new smaller Xmas lights, ID. I, too, prefer the smaller lights.
