DesktopX animations are a filmstrip (composed by various frames with the same size between them) in a single file, the easiest way to do this is through a small/free program called AniUtil download here:
Input your single frame images into AniUtil and save the final image

Email

Then, inside the object properties specify the number of frames you created for the animation and tweak it until you get what you want

That would help me if fireworks would save as any file other than a .png.
If I try and export a file from fireworks, a dialouge box says 'An internal error occured' twice.

Tominated...does it save it as one long png? All frames put together as one after the other?

nope, but I might be able to set it up for that

if you can, that's what you want for DTX animations.

Hey,

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!! You just made my designing so much easier!!!! I was able to animate my object, finally, cause I "broke down" and came here to see if there was a clue to animationand spacing the frames. I was close to pulling what little hair I have left, out!! I could not have ever gotten it this spaced correctly without AniUtil!!!

Did I Say, Thank you??? lol
