Midway Blamed for Stainless Steels Fall
Rise & Fall Developer Done
A Fan site has once again broken news, claiming that the developer behind Midway's Rise & Fall has bit the dust. A former Stainless Steel Studios staffer by the name of Bob Scott claims that the developer closed its doors on the Rise & Fall Heaven Forums stating that "all of my friends there are now looking for new work."
Gamespot also caught wind of Stainless Steel's demise from the German-based Gamestar.de. The site quotes studio founder Rick Goodman as blaming Midway Games for the closing of the studio. Goodman claims that the studio had to lay off its staff due to inadequate funding from their publisher after Rise & Fall was released. No official word on the Rise & Fall expansion or the studios' status has been released by Midway or Stainless Steel.
