I want a medal

Wonder if they could add a second color level to the "games submitted" stripes. Like if you had 10 games submitted and 5 were maso, you would still have two stripes, but the bottom one would be blue to indicate the 5 Maso games out of the total submitted. Or it could be based on the percentage of Maso games submitted (would promote more maso games, instead of just enough to color all the stripes).

Maso players are now rewarded enough in the extension pack.. the difference is now quite vast.. over 30k / game as opposed to 16k I do believe thats merit enough

I like the idea do of creating some kind of ribbon or something like that identifying what are the most game that you play, kind like a color code star where the color will exprese what level are you playing at the most, like red for maso, green for normal, blue for beginner, etc.

A medal for 5 maso wins or a maso win at every map size would be nice.

Could we get 8 new types of medals, three types of smilies to show how much we did good and evil games, 6 types of bars, and since we're at it, some coded signals panels for plane landing?

Hey, just one thing: be careful to not get so much signs that we can't recognize anything: I already mostly see a big bunch of icons of all kinds mixed up through my advance myopia in a big colored line...

All is true, but the medals now are next to worthless especially the 3k one. And there should be more medals for higher numbers of submissions like a 50 game medal, 100 game, 1000 game(Hey I'm getting there).

Well, the 5 game at 1000 and the 10 games at 3000 are jokes now. I have not seen a winning 1.05 game with a score less than 1000, and while it is surely possible to get less than 3000 on a 1.05 win, that is not too common either. Those limits need to be bumped up to like 5000 and 10,000 each.

Hmmm. Maso medals. One game just shouldn't do the trick. I tend to agree more with the colored stripe or a new medal for five or more maso wins.

As for expanding the medal list to include more games, heck yeah. Throw in a 50 and 100 total win and at least a 20 wins at 10,000 each or something like that. And I like the suggestion to add the alignments in a bit. Something like 5 good, neutral, or evil wins followed by medals for 10, 20, 50.

From a noob POV, I disagree. It's nice to be able to get some medals relatively quick.

I agree, it's relatively easy to get them within a few games. They should up the requirements, or at least make new medals.

It shouldn't be automatic, though: you already have 5 game - 1000, and you'll probably get 10 game - 3000 as soon as you send your 10th non-maso game.

There is a 5 game winner medal without regard to the points, Couslee. My proposal was to have a set of medals for game wins(5, 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000) and a set of medals for points. I have also said in the past I think there should be medals for former 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places(not that i've been there yet).

I am not saying additional medal are not welcome. But the first few easy ones are nice. At least it's something. The perverbial "pat on the back". lol

How about keeping the medal when you make it to the top 25, I have seen players dropping from the top 25 and they loosing their medal. When you earn it, you earned it.

That's why I put "former" in my post. A Former Top 25 would be fine. Just like Former 1st place player.

I think so too Mayito. Same would be true of top 3. If you've been on top, you should keep that medal. The achievement doesn't diminish if someone then passes you up later.

Particularly since Ray doesn't seem like he's ever going to share the 1st place medal.

The idea is that medals are different from having points. I don't play the meta game, I play the game. I want to beat the ai and the metaverse to say so, so my games have a chance to be looked at when/if they look for better ways to enhance the maso ai. I don't want to have a lot of points. I don't think playing maso would be the best way to achieve that.
I just want it to be easy to see immediately if someone can play at a high difficulty level or not. This is more relevant to me than the current score system, which tells how many games you can play and how good you are at having them produce a lot of points, not just winning.

one of the medals that got brought up the last time someone started a thread like this was the "reached 1'st place in the past" medal. it still doesnt exist, so im guessing no new medals will be made.

to those people who just started playing a few weeks ago: -there actually are quite a few people who have made it to 1'st place, some of them were in the spot for only a few hours before getting bumped down again. i think it would be a good idea to give them a medal for it, because as it is now, there is no way to tell if they made it that far -unless of course you have a great memory. speaking of which, im going to start a thread about this, see if i can get a list going of everyone that made it that far.

Ray the Wanderer is way up there for now, im guessing he will be holding the #1 spot for a long, long time.

Medals being part of the Metaverse and the Metaverse budget being tapped out means that new medals are probably a very low priority. But it doesn't mean that we will never see any new ones in the future.

How about a powerful new flagship in the game for all new Drengin.net subscribers?
Something like a new magic item for purchases of new MMORPG xpacks.
