Switching back to Imperial doesn't stick

Well, it says Imperial, but in spite of an election approving the change and putting me back in charge (nice feature), the senate seats display didn't change from where it was the last election and then another election happened, putting my party further out of control. Elections should cease after switching back to Imperial, shouldn't they? And you know this, but ship movement is *really* hosed--I was sending a defender to a planet under attack and it decided to drop in on a different planet on the way instead! Plus the game crapped out to the desktop again.

Something got seriously broken between 3A and 3B. Is there a way to go back to 3A temporarily while this stuff is worked out?

I have noticed the same in 3A, but as a note I think you should only be able to "downgrade" your government typr if your party controls more 50% of the parlairment.

Another thing. It would be great if you were told why the people loved/hated you. Mayby a poll on cetain areas like fiscal management, planetary security & habitat, morality etc..

Hear Hear! People keep showing up asking "why do my people hate me" - being able to ask the senate why morale is so low would be really really nice. Just make sure it's accurate - the game should look at the algorithm and figure out the biggest "negative" or area with more room for improvement. Don't have it give a generic "Build Morale Enhancements" when the real problem is "taxes too high / spending too high / treasury too low"

The problem is that the two are the same. If you have the morale improvements, it's entirely possible to run 100% tax rate and still keep your morale/approval rating at 100%.
