Hello all

I am looking for any users out there who have successfully installed the following theme by cybermessiah. I am new to this BUT I have tried forum browsing/faq's/unsucsessful self installation, and now I find myself here.

I have d/l DesktopX version 3.0
I have the theme file zipped/unzipped.
Do I need Windowblinds?

The creator states in his write up ">>>PLEASE INSTALL THE HOOG05_54 FONT FOR THE CALENDER TEXT TO BE READ AS INTENDED (Included in zip)> "

This is not included in the zip file ... infact there is no real help file or info included in this.

I am not asking anyone to hold my hand through the correct installation procedure, but some direction would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I just downloaded the 1024x768 version...unzipped it..inside is a readme.txt and a folder...in the folder is 2 png templates, a wall, the font, and the dxtheme

what's in your unzipped folder?

need WB? up to you. dtx is just for the desktop. a good matching WB is always preferred. dtx by itself won't skin your windows.

The 1280x1024 version doesn't have a font in the zip. The windowblinds theme is here: https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=1&view=1&sortby=4&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=dark%20industry

I tried "chasing" down the links given in zaveh's link...wild goose chase. Icon Packager theme that is supposed to go with it: https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=2&view=1&sortby=4&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=prey

Don't know exactly where you can find the hooge font, but it comes with a lot of the Sysmetrix skins, so I just happened to already have it on my system.

zaveh, if you want your desktop to look like the one in the link, you'll want Windowblinds theme. If you don't have Windowblinds, top of the page of the link I provided will take you to a shareware version (or you can purchase, which I highly recommend). Same for the Icon Packager. Good Luck, and happy skinning!!

Downloading WindowBlinds now after another quick read of the comments section.

1x .dxtheme file
1x .dxpack file
2x .jpg files

Yep did that ... thanks for the link

So I have WindowBlinds and DesktopX installed ... almost looks similar to the screenshots.

I cant seem to get the desktop background to show. I tried via desktop/right-click/properties/desktop/background .. but it wont show.

And the icons on the bottom right of the main bar .. can they be changed (appearence/size) ?? I downloaded scorpio-logic's link for the icons but i am not sure where to put them.

when you get to the background in properties - browse over to the dtx folder and select the wall - also under background, go into customize and make sure your desktop isn't locked (some times you may have to check/uncheck to wake it up)

No, bichur, no readme.txt. Like zaveh said. Looks like he is getting it done though! Good deal.
