Objectbar randomly closing...

I just started to use objectdock, and after not using my computer for a few hours, I come back and the dock is closed. This sometimes happens when I and using the computer also and I have to reopen it. Anyone know of why the dock would close? Also since downloading objectdock and windowblinds, if my computer is idle for a few hours it crashes - the desktop looks chopped up. I am running windows xp. I have sysstats loaded, and use a few dockets like the start menu and system tray. Any ideas of why it is crashing and why object bar is closing? thanks.

Me too.

I'm not using any docklets apart from those supplied with the basic package. I can't spot any reasoning in why it's closing. For ref, here are my relevant specs:

Dell 8400
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon X300SE
SB Audigy ZS Plat Pro
XP Home SP2 with updates

Following apps in taskbar:
McAfee Firewall Plus
Avast
Memturbo 3.1
Google desktop
Skype
STYLE XP
Always-On-Top
Hotsync manager (Palm)
WinPatrol

Spyware free!

Thanks in advance. This bug is making an otherwise nice piece of software very annoying.

I used to have this all the time but haven't for the last few builds. What version are you using?

(OD+, upgraded via SDC)

I have the exact same problem. I'm using the free trial version of ObjectBar. I have WinXP Pro SP2, plenty of free memory, no anti-spyware or anti-virus software (relatively fresh box) and not a whole lot of processes running other than ObjectBar.

I do have the Tray docklet running - I'll try leaving that off to see if that's part of the problem.

Everything will be fine until I open a new program, or maximum a program from ObjectBar's running programs list, then the bar just disappears. I have the Windows taskbar suppressed, and when ObjectBar dies suddenly, I get no error messages, I don't see anything relevent in my Event logs and the taskbar remains suppressed. I'm then completely unable to get the taskbar to re-appear (even after restarting ObjectBar and turning off the "hide taskbar" option) without a system reboot.

When ObjectBar is working I love it, but this crash thing has me worried. If it's just a problem with the freeware version I'll upgrade to Plus, but I don't want to spend $20 on a piece of software that's going to crash every other hour.

First, ObjectBar and Object dock are two different products. Which do you have.
What version?
