Idle spaceport popup?

would be nice

When colonizing a lot of planets it's easy to lose track of when a space port is complete. It's so easy to queue more improvements, and there's no notification until a planet has completed all items in the queue. Maybe the notification could also come up when a space port is completed so it doesn't sit idle until you happen to notice it while cycling through cities.

Well, have you look at your options? There is a "show GNN report" and a "show social event only if empty queue".

i checked "show social event only if empty queue"

then when first colonizing a planet, i queue up a factory and a starport and, voila! instant notification of an brand new starport.

But this can only work if the starport is the last thing in your queue.

I get around this by starting out with only the starbase in the planet queue. The original suggestion of a popup is not a bad idea, since not everyone wants the GNN reports each time.

Correct. I am speaking of the starport specifically, with things still queued after it.

How about an option to "not show me GNN events of this same type in the future." Do that to all the misc stuff you build, and soon you're only seeing the starport popups. Not as useful for this specific issue, but more useful in a general case.

A report of all idle starports would be useful. Or a pop-up icon/report that a starport has just been built (similar to the notice that a ship has just been built).
