Citizen who?

How come some people are Citizen Dark Assassin, and others are Veteran TheQuack?

And don't tell me it ranking or how many games they have, because I'm better in both categories than TheQuack.

And I'm a senator in my Empire.

Stardock gives out those promotions to people who contribute to the community the most. Like helping ppl with questions, making a strategy guide, etc. It isn't known what the criteria is for getting a promotion, except you need to be helpful and need to get Stardock's attention doing it.

Don't worry, from what I hear the promotions aren't anything special. You just get access to another forum, which isn't used very much anyway.

This is awkward, I feel like I'm on trial here... Theoden's explanation is spot on, though after reaading "Stardock gives out those promotions to people who contribute to the community the most", and realizing he hasn't been bumped up yet, I felt a sudden twinge of guilt. I'd like to think it was for some posts on the idea suggestion threads, but I'm not psychic.

Dark Assassin - just curious, is there anything I've done that got me singled out? Anyway, you just motivated me to finish up some of the games I'm working on and get that whole rankings thing fixed up :)

I appreciate everybody's vote of confidence for me. I just want to say that I think everybody that is a Veteran or above is truly worthy. The Metaverse Review is fun for me to do and I hope that everybody gets some enjoyment from it, but I don't feel worthy of getting Veteran. I just like doing what I do. :)

Veterans get to go into the Galactic Council, which has had a grand total of six posts in the last thirty days (not six threads). Four of those posts come from an absolutely glacial discussion about the lack of activity in the Galactic Council.

There have been eight posts in the last sixty days. Are you jealous yet?

if veterans get their own forum, then what about diplomats, ambassadors, and governors? does each level get their own page?

I don't think governor is a title, I've at least never seen one. The only titles I've seen are Citizen, Veteran, Diplomat Ambassador, Senator and Avatar. And of course Senator and Avatar is reserved for Stardock employees. I don't know if Diplomats or Ambassadors get anything special of thier own or not.

There is at least one governor, BoogieBac (another Stardock employee).

I think the highest I've seen a non-Stardock employee achieve is Ambassador.

I remember a Diplomat mentioned once that there was no difference between Veteran and Diplomat in terms of site access. Diplomats post in the GC.

No not really, I just happen to see that you were a Veteran and I got curious so I check you score and ranking and was disappointed that it was lower than mine (Not really, but I can gloat now can't I? I have a higher ranking and score than that of a senator.)

So in an effect you just ignited my curiosity so there wasn't anything other than the fact that your in a rival empire that drew my attention.

No, they don't. I believe player access levels go up to Ambassador and the only frill we get is access to the Galactic Council Forum.

Too bad that Galciv empire ranking or gaming performance counts for basically zero! Poor Dark. It is totally the whim of the powers-that-be. Find some real obscure bug or a way to totally own the game on maso and you might get a freebie that way. :)
