Acclaim Titles Hit Auction House
Liquidation Blow-out
from
Stardock Forums
The recently bankrupt publisher Acclaim has had a website created dedicated to selling the publishing rights to over 200 games. The trustees responsible for the liquidation, David R. Maltz Co., set up the website listing the various titles and each game's respected bids.
Those listed include some classics from the Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon and Bust a Move series to the not so classic Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen line. Specifics of the sales are not currently known, such as if the winning bid will have to continue paying royalties to the title's developer, but if the game is currently still in development, such as the Burnout or Worms series, it is likely that an agreement with the current license holder is needed.
