New B3 Bug - Hard Lockup

I was playing for several hours when, right after clicking on a news item about a planet in the lower right, my system locked up tight. I had to power off and cold start, scandisk, etc.

I had just saved the game before the lockup. The debug.err file is almost 50K so I can't post it here. There was no SmartException report.

I saved the err file as well as the contents of the data directory (in a zip file) hoping it would help debug the error. Please let me know if and where I should send these files. Thanks.

Hmm, well it didn't happen for me, so it could have just been a timing isuse unless you can reproduce it with the game. It's also possible that your planet*.bik files were corrupted when they were downloaded, or something like that, so you may want to try unintstalling your media files and re-installing them if that's the case.

No, I can't reproduce this error. This game played on until I got a divide by zero error which is coved in a different thread. :notsure:
