I like to surf the web just like the next person does, but I tend to right click on a link and open a new window quite often so as not to loose my starting point. My question here is how do I make Internet Explorer open the window maximized?. I'm using IE-v6.5 and have even gone into the registry to edit it manuely to open windows maximized, but when I reboot it always comes back the way it was prior to making any changes, also I am the only person on this computer and have full administrative privledges!, any ideas would help greatly, I know this can be done, I'm just missing it!, thanks!

You won't ever get it to 'maximize' per se and stick. When you open the second window, drag it to full size. Close the 1st window and then close the resized window. Windows will remember the re-sized window whenever you open the second or multiple's there of.

Use firefox and the tab function.  If you prefer to use IE, then get the toolbar that has tabs built in.

I used to get very annoyed by this problem. I would do exactly what yraq suggested and it would work for a while, but eventually windows would find thier way back to the non-maximized state. That is until I found IE New Window Maximizer Link

This great little program hasnt missed a beat! Not once! Opens new windows maximized every time
