Start Menus

Im new to this kind of customization, and i was wondering if it is at all possible to modify the start menu itself, being as now after modifying a few things, it does not visually fit along with my changes.

As a Windowblind - yes through skinstudio.
Also DesktopX3 lets you completely change the desktop and menu system. It takes a bit more work though.
