Taito Takeover Near Completion

The company that brought you the Final Fantasy franchise has just become a bit more bloated. Square-Enix announced that it will complete the purchase of fellow publisher Taito ending on March 31st, 2006. Taito was marked by Square-Enix roughly four months ago as an agreed upon stock takeover. The Space Invaders publisher will become a wholly owned subsidiary when the deal closes next March but will retain its name.
