Windows Icons Messed Up After Themes - Help!

http://marge.uvm.edu/csearles/icons.gif

Hey guys.

After using Desktop X, my icons aren't quite looking the same. I tried uninstalling Desktop, applying new themes, but my icons are still glitched. If I create a new folder, it suffers from the same fate. The attached link is a portion of a screenshot of the issue.

Thanks for any help!

Sorry, no help. I thought it might be an iconX issue, but I couldn't recreate. Are you using IconPackager? You could always try reapplying a package.

Don't know if this will help, but worth a try........

Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance Options > "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" > Apply.

I think Corky's solution is the only thing that might work. I noticed long ago that after using any icon themeware, the desktop doesn't hide icon backgrounds. I don't like icons on my desktop anyway, always hidden. Sorry not helping.

Do you have the "Lock web items on desktop" selected?

Right-click the desktop > deselect "Lock web items on desktop" if selected.
