Gas Price Widget/Object

Can anyone create a widget/object to display the gas prices in a given zip code? This website will display them:

but I do not know how to incorporate this into DX.. I'm picturing something much like the calendar where you enter your zip and it displays the results below.. any help is much appreciated.

Hmm, a VERY interesting idea. I'll have to look into seeing what kinda info I can snag from that.

Just so you know, I'm working on this. The script is all done, but I confess that I was planning to launch in on DesktopGadgets (at very low cost!).

Oh, and it will incude maps of where the service stations are and traffic reports.

All you need to know about gas prices are that they're too high.

Although, I suppose knowing how much I'm being screwed could be helpful...

Martin, that is awesome to hear. I think this is a really cool idea! I already know which gas station in my area is always the best, but I would still use this widget, cause it's awesome. Even if you put it on Desktopgadgets...

By the way, I think it should have a Vista style look...

Adamness/RedBuzzard,

If you think gas prices are high in the US - try the rest of the world!

Tell Detroit to learn how to make efficient engines. Tell them to ask Mr Toyota, I hear he's in the neighbourhood

I don't know the numbers exactly... but I've read that adjusted for inflation, the price of bread and milk has gone up more than gas in the last 50 years. Don't hear anyone complaining about the price of bread and milk. It's just the cool thing to complain about gas prices. I do agree that they're too high, but so is everything.
