More Ideas !!

Hi all. First of all I'd like to say that I like the way Stardock is building this game. For weeks I've been following GC2 development. Recently, I decided to buy the Beta 4D and play it for a good 20 hours or so. This game is really good and I'm not disapointed to have bought it. But here is my humble opinions that would bring this game closer to the ...holy grail for a fan of the genre like me (and most of you probably).
1) I know its probably to late, and its not MOO, but damn ! When I see so nice graphics from the screen where you config your ships, It would have been fun to be able to play more with your creations (ships) when battles occur.
2) This one should be not to hard to fix : I would like more filtering option for the maps view. examples planet quality, ressources...
3) The interface looks really good , the ai is awsome (as for GC1) (the best AI I know so far), graphics or sweet ! I like how the diplomacy works (of course some tweaks have to be done but it seems to go where GC1 was wich is verry good). But here is my point : there is a little something missing, its like if you had a perfect mechanics, a hell of engine but I lack some kind of involvment in the game sometimes. Some will say : who cares about the description of the tech. but sometimes when I play I like to imagine myself like if I were in this world and a better description of the tech (other the this one is the ++++ tech) helps me. Also, small things like giving ships more goodies from wins (other then only HP) makes me more involve in this world. Or introduce leaders I dont know. To late maybe ?

Its like if your game was the perfect body waiting for a spirit to come in.

Good feedback.  Putting spirit in is what we'll be doing over the next few weeks.

you have a heck of a better english than i do and english was the only language that i was taught

though as for putting spirit in there i definently think that there should be more tech descriptions but i kinda like some of the ones that are already in place because of the humor that they express (For example a couple of them say something like "look marketing had the day off and someone had to finish this") though i dfinelty would like some serious and a more complete technology descriptions being able to swich between the humorous and serious tech descriptions would be nice
