Social Project problems in 3A

The descriptions for both Secret Police and Spin Control are have an entry with String Not Found (i.e. Morale =5%, String Not Found +10%). Also Artificial Slaves when selected shows Micro Repair Bots in the description and the time left to build.

Yea, both of those are for the new Cultural Resistance feature. Keeps your planets from switching sides.

Battle Hammer maintenance seems way too low at 1 per turn.

I've noticed my planets increasing in quality as the game progresses, though none of the techs indicate that planet quality is supposed to increase. As best I can tell my planets increase in quality when I research a +hp tech. (this was with 3, haven't tried with 3A)

I know it has been said before, but icons for 100 and 1000 units are needed. In the game I just finished, Sol had 5200 research per turn and there is only space for 50 icons (at least of the 10 size) on the production panel.

A slider on the statistics would be nice as the list doesn't take very long to extend beyond the panel it is in.

How dd you get a planet with 5200 research?!

At the end of the game, I had build all the capitals in a single location, all the research facilities, bumped both the tax rate and the government spending to 100% and set research at 100%.

While researching beyond human, my technology bonus for the empire was about 450%. I can email the save game to you after I get home tonight if you want to take a look at it.

'How dd you get a planet with 5200 research?!''

I've had planets with research in the 1000 range without that extreme of a consolidaton effort, so he's probably fairly accurate on that.

Icons for 100 are needed, at a minimum.

'Also Artificial Slaves when selected shows Micro Repair Bots in the description and the time left to build.'

Some of the new improvements and wonders have the repeated headers that was caussing problems with the Economic and Political capitols in Beta2.

I think the solution is to make the game such that you don't end up with that kind of production. It messes up the game balance.

Certainly, but icons for 100 are still needed. After a certian point, 120+ production on at least one or two planets is almost a nessesity, and shortly after that point, the icons don't fit in the area provided.

Heh...something obviously went goofy when you posted, Arturus. :)

So even with the wrapping, there isn't room?

My keyboard doesn't like some keys and tries to double and treble actions on occasion. My mouse starts treble clicking if I stare at it funny too, sometimes.

In any case, wrapping works with research, to a point (I have one planet that's closing on 350 research, but I'm also running 80% research 20% social right now, using trade goods to build a treasury. I'll probably have to push some of that over to military shortly), but I'll agree it shouldn't be able to get much farther than that point in the first place.

I haven't seen it wrap for social or military production yet, but I should be in that area shortly in the game I'm playing now, so I'll have to report in later on those two.
