minimal minor bugs

I restarted several times the game, well after realizing that the starting conditions are not good

. First thing that happend is that the progress bar of univ. creation didn't show up anymore, after some more restarts and playing, the research screen did not close anymore after initial choice.

The progress bar does not indicate the universe creation; it indicates the progress of files being loaded.

I am not sure what you mean by "the research screen did not close anymore after initial choice."

There is some weirdness associated with starting a new game without completely exiting the game back to the desktop. If you only go back to the main menu and restart a game things can get funky.

I reported this a while back in connection with starting a new game after just finishing a game. The "fix" from Stardock seemed to consist of making sure that the game dumped you to the desktop after finishing a game rather than taking you to the main menu.

My guess is that things aren't being properly initialized when you start a new game and if some things have values in them from a previous game it will take those values and run with it.

You can duplicate the problem fairly easily by playing a game for a bit and then going back to the main menu and starting a new game.
