Cyanide Studios' Fantasy Action/RPG Announced

Hardware Acceleration Developer Leaks Title

Cyanide Studios has had their latest project 'leaked' by AGEIA Technologies, the creators of the AGEIA PhysX Processor hardware acceleration system. AGEIA announced that Cyanide will be using its AGEIA PhysX processor in its upcoming Action/RPG title Loki, which had not been announced as of press time.

Cyanide has chosen AGEIA's system because of Loki's high on-screen character count and real-time action. The title will surround players with "heroes, powerful divinities and mythical creatures such as hydrae, dragons and minotaurs." The system will enable Loki to have "much more realistic characters with joints, convexes and other intricate geometry, as well as dazzling real-time effects."

"With the AGEIA PhysX engine, our developers have far fewer constraints to take into consideration when creating Loki," said Fabrice Granger, project manager. "This not only gives them a wider range for expressing their imagination, but lets them achieve this with less development time than traditional approaches."
