Though I've just submited a few icons to the ObjectDock skin area, I've been a visiter and registered user of WC for a long time. One thing easy to see is, there are too many icons for the "famous" programs, like Photoshop, Winamp, WMP... As I know, a lot of people use many other programs on their PC, and they can't find their OD icons anywhere, as well as they do not know how to create one themselves (as in my case before).
So, why don't we have an "open area" for those OD users to request for their favorite programs' icons? And those who can use graphical apps can create them. It's also a chance to improve your skills isn't it ?
I'll be the first... Any one need an icon? You can send me a screenshot of the origin icon, and I'll try to make it an OD one (128, 256, in PNG or ICO...).
Not so good in graphik, so I need the help from the pro gd!

My C# project has run to its critial phase, and I'm afraid I won't have enough time for icons, means I can't lend you a "strong" hand Po. I'll try my best though.

Could someone make a high res (just meaning not pixely, grainy, or blury) Blair Witch sticks icon? Here is a good image of what I would hope it looks like: Link

If it could look somewhat real, with wooden sticks, that would be amazing .

And the second request is for The Godfather. Here is the image:


That exact same thing except bigger so it doesn't go all blury on my dock would be great .

These are cool,,there are 4. 2 of them have handprints that will work over light or dark backgrounds. (See preview) ...awaiting moderation...


The second one...I didn't have a clue on. I usually Google stuff to get more info or better pic's, but when you Google 'The Godfather', you get about 40,000 references to Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. So, I tried to make what you wanted, but have not uploaded it cause I don't know how to present it. Here it is. You should be able to right click and save it from here.

OMFG O_O! I am seriously amazed by The Godfather one wow ! That will work perfectly . Thanks man ^___^! (by the way, The Godfather is an music tag editor. Here is a link to the site: ((TGF)).

And the Blair Witch ones will be great . I love the movie, so I figured I could use that as the icon for my movies folder ^___^.

Oh, I just noticed the bottom foot of the godfather bird is cut off . If/when you upload the icon could you have the bottom foot there please . Or just post it here again. Thanks

Kick ass ^_^. My dock is getting sexier by the moment ^___^. Now I have just about gotten my entire start menu into my dock LOL. I only have 4 tabs and the 4th scrolls soooo far .

I myself attempted to make the icon a while back. I took the original icon and stretched it so it was only 128x128. Applied a bunch of photoshop filters to make it crisper and it looked horrible lol. Better than the original on the dock, but not by much .

What do you use by the way, to make these icons?

(Also, I will have some more requests as soon as I upload the pictures of the icons to my photobucket ).

Wow, thats pretty sweet for just PS ^_^.

3 more requests to keep you (or anyone else who wants to give it a go) busy .

First icon request is Google Player. You can use your imagination for this one, but here is the regular icon:

I will be happy with pretty much anything .

Second icon I would like is for Avvenu. I was surprised there wasn't one here already o_O. Here is the logo:


Last icon request is a little tougher. It is for a program I use often, but it has no logo lol. It is a website saving program called HTTrack. Here is the background of a file it creates during each website save.

Those darker purple rings with a shadow is what I am thinking. Not connecting rings, but more like rings that go off into a point instead of connecting. See how it gets thinner at the right?

Hopefully someone can do these icons for me ^_^. After these, my dock icons will be complete until I install more new programs! Thank you everyone, and keep up the good work ^_^.

Ok... I grabbed the Awenu logo and worked a bit with it...and the HTTrack background. Some of these other artists will do a great job...but give mine a search and see what you think...uploaded at 9:30 am est on Monday...give the admin some time with it

I think I am going to use Po's HTTrack icon and Bandits Avvenu icon ^_^. That Google Player one rocks too !

Po, thanks for the comments on that icon, and you might think that I'm just returning the favor here, but to be completely honest, I'm awed at the google player icons...don't use the program myself, but downloaded the icons for show...cool stuff...glad you could use the icons Keikonium...

Hey this is not some kind of comptetition guys...if you place a request and several of us grab the idea and run with it, don't think it's your obligation to take one of each...I'm glad Keikonium liked one of my icons and one of Po's, but if he'd liked both of Po's and none of mine...all the fun of creating the icon would have still been mine (lot of joy in that). I'm also glad that Keikonium corrected my spelling (it's now spelled correctly in the gallery)...just to tell y'all the truth, I LIKE THIS LITTLE COMMUINITY! good times...
