Gamma Releases in January

There will be a small number of people who will have access to the gammas come January.

Users with Diplomat access or higher will be able to report feedback in the private Council forum.

The access classes are Citizen->Veteran->Diplomat->Ambassador.

How do we determine who gets access?  Essentially it boils down to how effectively someone can report bugs and get us crash files so that we can figure out what went wrong and be available on #galciv on our IRC network to interact with directly.

So when you run into a crash in beta 5 of GalCiv II, look at the sticky posts at the top of the main GalCiv II forum and see how a proper report is.  We'll be adding a few other people to the list before the second week of January when the first gamma is released.

shoulda gotten beta when it came out. no way i can get to veteran and then diplomat. oh well life goes on.

He said that other people will join, specially those that have participated and given info and repotrs and chrashes that the developers have used to improve the game.

Promotion largely goes off the impression you give to Stardock, as Frogboy said some more people will be upgraded before the gamma so you never know.

well i havent had much to report coming in a beta 5. and i think i accidentally insulted frogboy once. aside from the whole nivida card thing that i was the first to post on with the game not working at all not much has gone wrong. which is good for stardock but leaves me outta the loop.

Hrmmm... I guess I need to get back to testing Beta 5...

If I can only get my morale and economy off of the ground and get to a reasonable tech level...

You think you have bad luck? I only managed to download Beta 5 last week! (stupid 27 kpbs connection, grumble grumble) Not only that, but the game keeps crashing on me! There's no way I'll get in the gamma.

actually if u report those crashes correctly it will improve ur chances of getting into gamma. the game runs smoothly for me so i dont have anything to report
