Sorry SD/Developers/Everyone Else Here

Mix of things today that upset us. Just wish we wern't so cornered ya know? Like some back-up download location, auto response download through stardock or something (like re input your credit card info or something and you will auto download something).

We are extremely EAGER to play the game, and you have our entire support =) considering we will be starting up our own computer store/shop/lan gaming area, and events we will stock and sell this game 50 times over =) lol

Thanks

DGM is the key to even being able to download GC. GC is HUGE, and having the DGM in control allows SD to move GC's downloads to a faster server as soon as they get one. It also allows them to reduce the download and install data to script that can be executed by a program (DGM) instead of having you try to follow an English script that would be unwieldly and higly "human error" prone. It also lets it handle all of those "what if" questions about your computer that can be checked by DGM instead of you having to look them up while following an English dl/install script. Once your DGM is working correctly, if you only knew what it does for you, you would be glad you had it (too bad it hides all of that ugly stuff so well).

Exodius,

You remind me of when I was waiting for the first Alpha build to come out. I was REALLY ansy for it. I put my subscription in during Sept. 2001 and had to wait until the first build was made available n Jan. 2002. Since I had played the original GC/OS2 from when it was released in 1994 I had a pretty good idea of what it was like, and since I no longer had a machine that would run OS/2, the wait was REALLY excruciating.

=)

I was seriously nutz over this game. Back then i was REALLY young (and lucky enough to have a P90! parents bought it from dell the first day it came out). I had ordered os2 warp (3) because at that age i was a pc NUT (and strange enough a hufe hockey player). Also got the Family pack from media mountain. PLAYED this game for HOURS ON HOURS! Quit Scouts to play! So when i heard about this i seriously went NUTZ!

=) Thanks to the original (which totaly got me into pcs) im not a computer engineer student (last year). Started lan parties, I was at quakecon three years in a row and everything. Im a gaming NUT lol.

And again this was one of the first games =) besides my old tandy games (HANG MAN KICKED IT LOL) Atari and what not.

Im rambling
