Research time

In the game Im currently playing, I notice that the actual research time is less than half the time that the little progress-bar says.

I've noticed the same thing happening to me. It happened in 3A too.

It doesn't account properly for the bonus research provided by techs, anomolies, or resources, from what I can tell. This has been reported a few times since Beta 2A.
