Wargaming.net has ended the Massive Assault Network service but has guaranteed players 6-months to finish their current games. But this is NOT bad news for with the retiring of M.A.N. comes the launch of M.A.N. 2 Beta. The fully open Beta is replacing its predecessor with a boatload of new features including Online AI opponents, new planets complete with 'nowadays' 3d graphics and explosions and the ability to watch and chat with your opponent during gameplay.
The strategy sequel will continue with a free version (which only allows you to play on select planets), a monthly fee version and an all new "Lifetime" membership for $39.95. The Beta will be open to the public, including all updates until M.A.N. 2 goes live later in Q1 2006.
