Eye of the Universe

I have two times researched "Eye of the Universe". The first, as far as I remember, was in beta1 and the second was today with beta3 and in either game did I could see the whole galaxy????? Has anybody else experienced this???

Are you expecting it to work the way it did in GC/OS2? So did I, but I guess having all of the stars on the minimap even if you have not explored all of the sectors, has changed that. And the description of what it does for you only says it "vastly improves your sensor range", which it does. I think the only thing it doesn't do compared with GC/OS2 is to show who owns what star systems in the sectors you have not explored, but by the time I have gotten EofU built, I have already explored all of the sectors anyway, which I often did on GC/OS2 as well.

Yep, exactly like in the old OS/2 version.
