Medieval 2: Total War will be hitting the shelves in 2006. SEGA and Creative Assembly's new PC RTS will mark the fourth installment of the Total War franchise, complete with "the most epic and cinematic 3D battles ever seen on PC." Medieval 2: Total War will allow over 10,000 dynamic characters to enter battle which will be seen in all its beauty during battle in the redesigned multiplayer mode.
"Medieval 2: Total War is the result of 7 years continuous development of the Total War series and has been designed to appeal to all gamers, not just hardcore strategy fans. " commented Mike Simpson, Studio Director at Creative Assembly. "Each game in the series has outshone the previous one and Medieval 2: Total War is no exception."
Medieval 2 is to offer 200 new units, greater depth in siege warfare, new weapons and a detailed building damage model that SEGA promises will make the title "the best version of the PC's greatest strategy game ever made."
