Online Petition Makes A Difference?

SaveHeroes.org Could Have Done It's Duty

The Heroes of Might and Magic Online Petition has accomplished its goal in delaying the soon to be released Heroes of Might and Magic V.

Various fan sites created the petition in hopes to get the new owner of the franchise, Ubisoft, to delay the title after the community viewed the game in its Beta phase. The communities felt that this title would make or break the franchise and would rather wait a few more months for the development to be complete rather than have the game rushed. The petitioners felt that a rush is what happened to the title's predecessor, Heroes of Might and Magic IV and doomed former developer New World Computing.

Ubisoft has now confirmed to Gamespot that the title has been pushed past its previous March 31st date and that a solid date should be set next week. The company did not comment if the petition had any motivation in their decision.

Good work guys, glad too see people rather have the delay over another hack-job.
