#1 Yearling?

Wasn't there a movie called the yearling?

Hi,

I'm far from being a new user, but this question seemed to fit into this category more than any other. In my profile under Author Awards it now list #1 Yearling with a gold diamond graphic to the left. What does this "award" mean?

Thanks,
NetBadger

I think it means you've been  a subscriber for a year.

If it's for that, wonder why only some have it? I've been a subscriber for over a year and nothing and a member of WinCustomize for over 4 years now. I've seen it on other peep's profiles but it doesn't have any info. on it.

Wait...how did you click on the award...I can't seem to do that on my awards.

Anyway -- in 9 days it will have been a year since I first registered

When they first came out I thought it was stated they meant you'd been a Subscriber since the first year Subscriptions started (Wincustomize Paid Subscriber)

Wait...how did you click on the award...I can't seem to do that on my awards.

If you mouse over the sheilds or diamond it lists it in the status bar at the bottom of your window (assuming you have it turned on)

The caption does say "Memeber for at Least One Year" course I don't remeber seeing mine until I had been a memeber for @2-1/2 years.

Maybe I have it turned off?...I don't see the shields anymore (I used to).

This is all so confuzzling.
Is it member or subscriber?
And officially...can this be cleared up..the apprentice, etc. stuff.
In the WC Mission Statement under WinCustomize Access Classes,
it makes no mention of being able to rate skins for an Apprentice, Citizen, or Visitor. It doesn't even say you can rate skins at all, until you get to Journeymen ("They can do everything an Apprentice can do but also rate the skins".)

When I rate a skin, does it count or does it just go somewhere seperate from what may be 'valid' ratings (everything above Apprentice, if you go by the mission statement)?

This is no big deal to me, I'm just curious. It seems odd sometimes how a skin can hold a rating for a given length of time, then drop suddenly. That's what has me wondering if all the 'ratings' actually count, or if they are split up like the downloads are (Total downloads vs. WC Downloads.....Journeyman and above ratings vs. evryone else??)

Weird...now I can see the shields again...but if I mouse over them all it says is "click to see awards." If I click that then it tells me the browswer was trying to connect to something it could not connect to.

This question has been posed by me before and I got no official response. So.....good luck!

Po'Smedley, that about section has been screwed up since I've been here.  All ratings count from apprentice up and for all subscribers.  Just remember, the ratings is weighted to your classification, citizen, appre., MA, JM and so forth.  The higher the class, the more weight is given.
