100% Tax, 100% Spend, No Interest on Purchase?????

Right now I am in a game where I have the economy settings at 100%Tax, 100%Spend, and I am still taking in over 4500 credits a turn!

Also, when I go to purchase anything, no matter what payment plan I use, the amount I have to pay each month is 0!!!! Obviously I take the cheapest one!

What's going on here? I know I am a pretty good leader... but this might be pushing it a little.

I am in a gigantic galaxy, year is 2196. I've had the tax and spend rates set like this for quite a while too.

Any ideas?

WOW! And right now I have a Class 93 planet and many others in the 60-80 range!!!

I didn't think this was possible.

Is it supposed to work that way? Did it work like that in the last builds?

I'm not sure how tha'ts even possible. Something must be affecting the planet quality ability.

Could you send me your saved game? ([email protected])

The morale resources also improved planet quality in the last build. If it still does now I don't know yet.

Assuming it does, four such resources with starbases that have all the mining modules will result in a unizersal +360% planet quality. A class 20 planet will be class 92 after colonizing it even without any improvements.

I sent the save game files.

And yes, I do have a lot of resources being mined by maxed out starbases. I guess this might explain things. Hmmmm. This does seem a little off balance though, doesn't it?

And what about the economic sliders. I don't think I should be able to tax a population 100% and my morale stay at 100%... for all planets!

Even a class 10 planet will become a class 46 planet without any morale projects if Arturus's +360% is correct (the file coremodules.sbmodules lists 85% in upgrades, plus the initial 5% for planting a star base on a resource). Most of the very high class planets I have had have not needed any morale boosting social projects to keep their morale at 100%. On build 3D I am seeing planet class increase with exploitation of the morale resources (the yellow "happy gas" ones).

OK. I understand how it is happening but should it happen?

Another question- What about the situation where I go to purchase a project or ship? I get the four companies to choose from, but all of them have +0 bc for so many months(no intrest or monthly payments). Why is this happening?

I noticed the same thing just after getting the corruption event. I chose the evil +interestRate option and saw all the +bc/month options change to 0. At that point, mitrosoft started getting all my business.

I would think that that is a bug.

For the purpose of adding another point of reference, in a short game I played in here, Mitrosoft (and whatever the one directly above it is) started offering plans that always had a bc (or more) for at least 65000 turns (Mitrosoft frequently drew terms out to 67000 turns on major projects like Hyperion or one of the wonders).

My current game seems to be without any quirks in the lease terms.

'always had a bc (or more)'

That should say 'always had + 3 bc (or more)'
