Cable speed in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

So why does a cable allow faster downloads than a phone line. Doesn't electricity flow at the same rate in both? Just an ignorant question, but something I have always wondered. Yes I have better things to do on a Friday night, but my girl dowsn't get off work until 10:30.
