Anybody take a look at Google-X? I read about it on CNET news.com. Here is a link to the cached page on Google (because they took it down... it looked too much like MAC OS task bar??) By the way, does anyone know how to make a Object bar like tak bar on a webpage? The story said that they used DHTML and javascript (which I think is covered in DHTML) I would love to have that for my website.
Zomba, I would like to feature this article on knowledge net, could you join my blog group so I can post your rant? Link Thank You.
I don't know if pr would fix that... I would blame Frogboy for being accessable... being asseccable made him a target and therefore Stardock... But other than that, if Stardock needs PR it would be to talk to news agencies, schools, music/advetising businesses, corporations and websites... not forum posters.
You would rather "put up with" the occasional hijacking, building-destruction, and 3,000 citizens dead. Making some effort to sift the evildoers from the law-abiding citizens would be too much tyranny for you, I guess. I would agree... BUT A WARNING I would rather be in danger of being killed by these criminals than give up my freedom. Liberty or death As far as the USA being a
... DEBBIE GIBSON???? lol 'She' only has one post and what a post it is. dharma, if you pose half nude, your ratings will go back to 8% and how do you get it to be so high anyway? you post everyday or something?
not related to your aricle... but for some reason I keep thinking your the Trina who happenes to be a rap artist... who also happens to be VERY good looking with extra curves. So, my question is... why did you burn the toast Trina? When is your next album coming out?
Yes, I looked at your suggestion Paxx and I do like it. Plus, its not so heavy on the javascript so it might actually work on the computers at Goodwill Public Assistance. The main issue is to give people the tools to find the job they are going to and know about the location they will be working in (hopefully). Directions are always helpful, but I use them mostly as suggestions and instead look directly for the location I want to be in, the su
I looked for it, but I didn't see it... any links to it? I missed it somewhere...
Basically all mouses, even cheap mouses with balls has in least a scrollbutton. That is funny in more ways than one... balls... track balls. yeah, even the cheep-o mouses have a mouse wheel and 2 buttons...
and remember when you click the link, look for Map 3D Link Oh and the Autocad site doesn't like Firefox, so use internet explorer.
I think yahoo will be the suggested choice for maps... it give accurat info on address and also things around the area... Google is more visual and can be used as a back-up to get more of an idea of what is up. When I finish my report/proposal to Goodwill (who helps with public assistance) I'll post it on my wincust/joeuser blog.
yeah... the more I think about it, the more I am sure you should check to see if you block the IP address for the images or if you have the whole server (not IP address, but the server name itself) blocked.
do you have McAfee firewall? I noticed also that I blocked a site pinging my computer... but it turned out it wasn't and the site I blocked was actually a server that WinCustomize uses... It is possible that you blocked the whole server somewhere like I did... yeah, check that out... look in the banned IP addresses and then ask t-man if the server is where Wincustomize is... plus, if I am not mistaken, they moved servers to a
are you saying mapquest can be off on somethings or Google Maps? I live in the city and as of so far, Google has been on point, but so have the others. Google displays it better, but I must admit Yahoo shows more info on the maps and I do feel more comfortable with the fact that its been around for a while longer. I think the people in my program (public assistance) should understand and be able to read maps as well as get maps as par
I am trying to decide whether one map service is better than another. I know Google can have beta for some time and not really mean anything, but when it comes to going to a location that you don't know, you want the right direction. Some people I know looking for jobs don't have a clue about maps, so I plan to try to teach them how to get somewhere when directions are schechy (spell??) what do you guys think? Here is an example o
... with the way some people carry on over there, especially on the forums, there just might be a super vilian. but I doubt it. Some HOT HOT topics though... I'm collecting them now. Oh and thanks for joining knowledge net!!!! if it means anything your be helping people from public assistance to learn more about technology and being more employable!!! <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif
Read this: Link He is a game designer on modblog.
That would actually be a good idea...if you had about 40 years of spare time to individually block each one. nope... don't have time for that..
Google? I would guess all search engnes would do something simular... I guess you could ask a developer to crreate a desktopx that only goes to specific sites...
... surprised this thread hasn't closed already... from like the 10th post or something...
I don't think this case is going anywhere. There is no way a judge is going to give the same protection of professional journalist the same rights as a person who just decided to write something one day. It is like letting a erson who can be a doctor do sergury but he really isn't liscenced. It's like letting a person drive without a permit. Its like letting a person designa building but they are not an Architec
