I don't know, Access doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Unless Oracle, SAP and some others just make mistake after mistake, Microsoft will be just one of the companies of a oligopoly of database businesses.

I would say that Microsof did not win with Access, and won't anywhere in the near future. Oracle is used more, allows for industruail usage (more than 100 users at one time looking for data) and other essentials. Then there is MySQL, SAP and used to be PeopleSoft. And was it evry really MS vs Nintendo? MS vs Playstation is the better comparison. Nintendo wasn't even in the running when XBOX came out. Although Nintendo might be on the

This sound like a good time to plug Affini.com If you have Affini, you can use that web email address to 'butler' what gets send to you and what doesn't. Also, you can have mail sent to it through another email adress (forwarded or use the pop3 address) and it will 'butler' your inbox for the spam. Also there is an article on WinCustom about how to use GMAIL alias to avoid the spam menacing websites.

I still think Google will end up creating a browser for itself, use its IM service along side its blogging service and news gathing to form its one 'newspaper' if you will... sort of a media center. I'm a winAMP user. I just keep coming back to it. It does what I want. I do like some of the features Windows Media Player has like databasing the music files but in the long run, I rather just have a folder with subolders of my music files. I run WMP mostly because of the skins it has, but then I go back to winAMP because it uses less resources depending on what skin your using. I don't ask for much, I guess, when it comes to players
