Your TITLE, asshat! I never said AIDS was a gay disease. I took great pains NOT to. i hate to jump in this tiff,,,but...just to share my own personal view.... gid, when i read your piece i did walk away with that impression. that you were calling aids a gay disease. or at least a disease that only affects the amoral. the message seemed a little coded, but that did seem like the message. maybe that wasn't the intent. i don't know. so, m

what does that have to do with what we are talkin out brad? no one's talking about a cop's discretionary powers here. but on that subject, if a cop decides he's going to be tougher because the person is being a jerk and uncooperative, then most would grant him that discretion. but if the cop pulled someone over, and it turns out the person was somebody from the cop's past that he had a personal beef with or was a public figure the cop didn't like, or had a prejudice for any reason, the

Sean, first and foremost, my heartiest congratulations to you and yours, especially your son for making his First Holy Communion thanks lula,,,much appreciated! Have you ever considered posing these questions of yours to your parish priest? That would be the avenue I would take. Email him and see what comes of it!! (This is just a suggestion...I've got to be careful not to tell you what to do)! i have s

There have been so many down right racist and bigoted remarks made by Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakhan and Malik Zulu Shabazz I tend to get confused. thank you for the corrections. But why is there never any outcry over these four men and there racism?, what do they all have in common? What motivates the Media to remain silent? 1st... the media haven't been too silent on this. it was reported widely. 2nd...jackson did make the hymietown remark. sha

I am not familiar with California laws, but in this state, she would have gone to jail after the first one (in all probability). After the second one, that would definitely have been it. I think the principal here is flagrantly flouting the law. Judges are not kind to that kind of violation. IN addition, she was late for her court date. Say what you may, but in a court room a judge is pretty much God, and they do not like being held waiting or shown up in their court r

I just think that it is really stretching things to say that sentencing someone to an extra week of jail is eroding the protections of this amendment, and I don't think that this is the sort of situation it was meant to cover. the constitution is about everyone - all the time when it comes to legal matters. not just capitol cases. although we all have that guilty little part of our brain that wouldn't mind being abl

yeah, but 5-15 is still the standard. even tho she had 2 violations of probation, it was still violation of 1 probation sentence. then in april, when she was pulled over, she had her license back. the whole thing seems a little bit suspect. if she was such a danger and needed to go to jail, then why was her suspension not extended when she voiolated probation? remember, this all started over a DUI, a traffic violation. it's kind of like they were being lienient on her, and giving the sign (by re

they forced him (lieberman) out of the party because of his belief that we need to stand up to terrorist, lol...the "joe wanted to stand up to the terrorists" crap filled rhetoric is a giveaway. joe wanted to continue giving blank checks to the president...another candidate ran against Joe in the primary who didn't. that candidate won the primary. at that point, the democrats (as a party) were OBLIGATED to support their nominee. the primary voters of con

is that the way you see it? No, because this is not a military conflict. (in the U.S.) haven't we declared a "GLOBAL war?" I'm curious, no where in this definition does it say anything about excluding military locations. All the definitions seem to agree on one thing, fear. so, how is our invasion of a sovereign nation where we bagan the invasion with "operation shock and awe" which was d

5-15 for a FIRST offense. However this was the THIRD offense i think you might be mixing some things up there. she was hauled in on the probation violation stemming from the DUI. the charges are all related to each other. you re making it like she got DUI'd 3 times. as i understand it, someone who violates the terms of their probation on the 1st offense of DUI gets 5-15 typically.

and palladin...i get it...you don't like democrats...you've made that nauseatingly clear. if a democrat holds an opinion, you take the other side...enough. stop trying to get me to defend democrats as if i was one. i know you see anyone who is left of newt as a "liberal democrat nutjob" pretty much, but that's just not the case. if you have a problem or question about what i suggest, like investigating whether or not big oil is a competitive industry, then fine,,,we can discuss that. a

So, the conservative stance is not and will never be to control prices or impose taxes. but fines and some other punitive actions would be acceptable if anti trust laws, et al, were broken. you can call it a tax if you want to make it "anti conservative" but conservatism doesn't object to fines on businesses that break laws. that hasn't been proven, of course. that is why i haven't suggested anything actually being imposed without due process.

Most people who are at all active in politics or have any interest in our government usually have their favorite ammendments to the Constitution. Some love the 1st Ammendment. Journalists, activists and anyone with an unpopular or at least a perceived minority voice will often cite their 1st ammendment rights to speech, religion and assembly. So

I, like many , have seen the reports about 6 Muslims planning an attack on Fort Dix, New Jersey over the past few days. It's great that they caught these guys, although, again, it had nothing to do with any of the money we have blown on high tech equipment or efforts we have exhausted on eliminating rights in the name of freedom. But more on that later.... 1s

Conservatives who propose such are departing from their philosophy. as far as i know, most conservatives i know support a competitive industry. i'm sorry, i don't think big oil is. that changes the rules...even according to brad. i would want it looked into deeper whether or not actual competition did exist in the oil industry. or, since (amongst other factors)the demand exceeds supply, have they become anti-competitive? i want that c

Wouldn't you need even less states if it was one person, one vote? that is one side of it, as i said... some fear that 1 man = 1 vote will favor the big states too much, i'm not sure about that, and also suggested other possiblilities.... a more localized college model...or the allowance of splitting of delagates but my bottom line was... <div
