Ok, using IE9 for this POST. I disabled Windows Blinds service and renamed wblind.dll to wblind.old. Having a hard time typing this. In order to start typing I had to change the font - several times actually. It sort of stops allowing me to type until I change the font. Anyway, this allows me to test a bit of IE9. Thanks for the update everyone. Just put IE9 Beta on Win 7 32 and down it went. I love the "Bye bye IE 9" cause that's what's happening here. IE never has and looks like never will be my browser of choice. Windows Blinds on the other hand ... [e digicons]:grin:[/e]

Had to reread the above a couple of times, but finally it clicked :-) I used Impulse, uninstalled 1.9., re-booted, started Impulse, found Object Dock Plus 2 with the March 30th date way down the list, installed, then started Object Dock up again and it found my old stuff - VOILA - thank you. ...Michael

Tried the same download on an XP laptop. Same MD5 error. Oh my! It's obviously me, NOT Stardock. Same error on Windows XP (up to date) on a laptop, and on a Windows 7 Ultimate system - dual processor, 4 gig RAM, etc etc. Yep, must be me. Thanks Stardock for pointing it out. (Oh, I did run stand-alone memory checks for a couple of hours, what else can I check to find out MY problem! :-) )

Add me to the list. Seems like lots of folks have problems downloading using IMPULSE these days. Too much, FAR TOO MUCH of a coincidence to NOT be Stardock's problem. The only common thing is STARDOCK. Correct? ...Michael

Thanks Kris. There is a sig7.bin in the directory, and after a reboot WindowBlinds 7 came up as usual after an update. I went and re-activated it. It does not show up as needing updates . So I guess I'm ok. The Digital sign-in show Feb 1, 2010, and the properties shows version 7.0.0.0. My gut feeling is that's ok. I'll wait for the next update to see if that 'activation' error pops up again. Thanks for your help. ...Michael

Impulse just told me that there was an update for my WindowsBlind 7. The update downloads, does the install, but I get an error at the end of the install - Activation Error. Any ideas? thanks. ...Michael

Yep, I had deselected the 'default dreams' folder as I only wanted to use a couple of mine. I put it back in (and the default OS one) so lots of stuff show up now in the display. However I still don't have the 'slideshow' tab at the bottom back. How do I set up a 'slideshow' to go through my own folders of wallpapers? I have nothing turned off in the filters part. The 1st 3 stars are on, and I've included everything else. By the way, thanks for the quick reply.

I was happily using Deskscapes slideshow and now it's gone. The only tab I have at the bottom now is 'Backgrounds'. The 'Slide Show' and the other one, are now gone. I flipped on Windows 7 Ultimate slide show for now but it doesn't allow me multiple folders for my backgrounds. Any ideas. It was running great. Deskscapes 3, Windows 7 Ultimate, Index is 5.4 but the two graphics one are 6.2. Single monitor. Help, Needless to say I think Deskscapes is great. </

More Vista goodies in RightClick Stardock Forums

I started this path trying to figure out how to get to the old Vista Desktop. Searching around, I found I can add anything in the Control Panel to Right Click. For one, I wanted to get back to the 'original' Vista Desktop. I found that creating a Shortcut and putting in c:\windows\system32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Personalization - voila I had access to the old way. I picked the ones in the Control Panel I used most and added them the same way. ...Michael
