Why the 8% on society production and research at the start means that you are researching and improving your planets from the word go.. It adds 1 turn to the colony ships but it also gives you the edge in tech and soc prod. rather than having them at 0 .. the speed and range boonuses give you the extra edge and makes up for the 1 turn loss. Yes raising your taxes slows your growth.. however it makes for a more stable and quicker kickstart. I honestly don't worry about population until i

Rainbird your persona in the Empire does as Cotal says (has and) does a lot for the empire. Your wit and charm struck me as what the empire was lacking in.. This is one reason I suggested the Merger and even Changed the Empire name and logo and saying. You have indead resusitated a semi stagnant empire. Thats why i made you the "Minister of Diplomatic relations and foreign affairs" if you remember ... right after you joined the empire.

ummm.... check your diplomatic status.. you may be allied... or check the ships you have.. as far as i know only combat transports can invade planets. all other (attacking)ships that you take there can only attack ships that are in orbit hope this helps :HOT:

no.. not at all Rainbird... its not useless... so long as you enjoy playing at the level that you are playing at. The Metaverse is only a small extention of the game... As they say "Play the game... i have.. but i couldn't get them to work.. i usually end up loosing within 6-10 years.. :( Call me simple.. i'm so frustrated that i can't beat maso.. ot even crippling or painful for that matter.. Using my stratagy on large map it generaly takes me about 12-20 hours of game play no matter what level i choose to play it at. I'm slow :( useless :( and depressed :(

I to have read them.. ALL that i have found but when i've tried them i've still lost big time.. I need someone to spell it out to me like i posted my stratagy for beating ALL map sizes up to and (now) including Tough level. Sure my method is long and maybe not the best.. but it works 98% of the time.. (my stratagy is written up in the GROSS thread where they've just recently been talking about maso strats)

As i've said.. we can't do anything. G-Foece will have to contact T-Man in the chat rooms to try and organize it. Its all up to T-Man.. its not a normal thing to change emperors of empires.. and T-Man would have to do it all manually.. and only after contacting the Current emperor..

The main thing is that (to me anyway) its recognition from the staff of Stardock that you have contributed to the Metaverse above the call of duty) there are even higher promotions .. like Ray is an administrater.. That wasn't easy....
