It's the weekend so take a break and think of the ten most amazing things you have seen in your life--or experienced. It could be historical, unbelievably awe-inspiring, wondrous, breathtaking --you name it! I'll kick off with my ten then see if you can describe ten(or five, if you cant). No prizes--just some laid-back writing for Joeusers to enjoy. 1. I flew

I know this sounds very old-fashioned but there is an ancient basis for a true moral code and that is the Ten Commandments. Adhering to every Commandment would provide decent standards to adhere to. However, it may not suit this modern World! "Do not commit adultery" is a good example. Has adultery slipped lower down our moral ladder as skirts get shorter?

I know there are JoeUsers who have visited Cairo and many others who would like to. Here are some interesting facts about a city that is bigger than most of those in the USA. * Ignore Internet records: Cairo has over 20 million people. * There are more than 5 million vehicles in the greater city. * There are 20 000 plus, black and white taxis. There a

A very good article and I look forward to many more. In my booklet: "Staying above the line", I outline some of the methods I and others have used to fight clinical depression. If you are interested I can include a short summary in a future comment.

My Lycos mail site has just been upgraded and less spam is coming through. However, there are people with devious means who manage to override it. Here are three examples: 1. ₣№‼ﭏ♪ƠǼǖǘư And: 2.♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♥♦♦♦♦♦♦&#9830

If he likes milk you could crush the tablet and mix it in. Sometimes I cut the tablet up into smaller pieces and "throw" them at the back of his throat. Then I hold his mouth closed and rub his throat --as zoo suggests.

The first comment by ParaTed2K is entirely inappropriate in a list of replies to what is essentially a serious post. He may be right or wrong ---or are you pulling someone's chain?

We are both in our late fifties, my wife and I, and I read the other day that feet, like shoes, wear out in time. I know that if I stand on a stray dog biscuit it is agony. The pads on your feet become so thin and sensitive that walking barefoot outside in the garden is a no-no. Also, the ankles get weaker and may need support. My feet are not half as bad as my wife's as she stands/walks about in a classroom all day. Her feet burn and ache. I do massag

When it comes to American politics I am naive. A report in the UK Mail on Sunday (by William Rees Mogg), suggests that Senator John Mc Cain and Rudi Guillaini (don't know about that spelling), will be up amongst the leaders. I heard months ago that Senator Hillary Clinton was a certainty for the race. Have things changed and who do Jousers think will be the next Presi

Judging by the last ten years and the advances made in computing, automobiles and every other electronic product in that time I thought I'd do a snap survey of views on what is to come in the next ten years. We have a lot of techies on JU so please look into the future. It could be interesting. Before that here's a look at the 70's Older Joeusers will smile

I'm sure Jusers have written before about the atrocious cost of printer cartridges. I noted a new HP advert the other day that 'pushed' their ink, comparing it to car buying. "HP. Very reliable. No previous owners." The ad goes on to say: " A new original HP inkjet cartridge is guaranteed to be exactly that: new. Re-filled cartidges may have been around the bl

Come on Cactoblasta--- a man has a G-spot in his anus? Let me tell you that the anus is, by itself, an incredibly sensitive organ with lots of muscles and nerves surrounding it, owing to its particular needs and you know what those are. I had a prostate massage once and all it did was want to make me pee. God certainly created the anus but not for recreational use. Hope this blog gets some answers even though it it seems to wander into uncharted territory. Scoring macho points

I do Doc, and although I am not an ex-Rhodesian or ex-Zimbabwean, I am constantly concerned that people can do little about Zimbabwe's situation. It is a country ruled by a cruel dictator and with little opposition within. The late great Rhodesia was a breadbasket in Southern Africa and, probably, one of the top tobacco growers in the World. It hasall gone now and inflation in Zim today runs at 1200 %. I feel empathy for the thousands of Zimbabweans wh

I flew over Harare recently while on a trip from Egypt to South Africa. Even at 9000 m I could see the effects of President "Saviour of Africa" Mugabe's efforts to "clean up" his country. You cannot hide anything away from satellites but I realised that you cannot hide anything, period. It was obvious that there were areas outside Harare that seemed to contain roads b

I don't want to open a can of worms but I am against homosexuality because it is unnatural. Gays can throw bricks through my window if they like but there is no getting away from the fact that man was built by God for woman. Man was made to co-habit with woman and produce offspring. Man was not meant to sleep with man. That's base I know, but that is what goes on. I like a lot of gay people but I can't stop wondering how they would want to sleep with a

The news reported today that some divers and fishermen--as well as some other idiots--were randomly killing stingrays off the Australian coast in the wake of Steve Irwin's death from a Bullray. I fail to understand the mentality of people who can be so afraid of relatively harmless sea creatures that they can bludgeon them to death. Fair enough if you catch a ray on a

I'm inclined to side with the Doc in one area: That Assad is a sneaky SOB with a hint of the gangster about him. His father was not as ruthless but just as cunning. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that the Syrians were responsible for Hariri's death. Remember that at that time Assad wanted to rule Lebanon from his lair. Hariri was considered a dangerous opponent of Syria. However, as for the perpetrators of the Embassy attack, I would c

As a hobby I buy and sell banknotes, mainly those from Africa. I want to sell some on e-bay but I'm not sure how to get the photos of notes onto e-bay. I am "yesterday's child" and don't even know how to use my new camera yet! Once I have mastered the little camera (actually semi-mastered would be more accurate), I then need to get my photos transferred to e-
