To many Americans, guns are associated with freedom And for me that doesnt make sense.. because for me freedom is without guns.
Here is an article I found, I posted it as a comment on my last article on Guns are for killing.. but I think it deserves a special mention on it's own it might clear up a little of the confusion on why I think society here, where I live is different to American society. The Australian/American Gun Law Debate By Gabrielle Reilly Being an Au
And this i will post in its entirety maybe Baker you might understand Australians more from this.. The Australian/American Gun Law Debate By Gabrielle Reilly Being an Australian American, I regularly find myself in the middle of the great gun debate between the two countries’ philosophies on gun ownership. Australians want Americans to have fewer guns and stricter rules, and Americans claim the Australian government has rem

Ok guys its gonna be long but here is some information. February, 2000 Sharp Drop in Gun Crime Follows Tough Australian Firearm Laws Latest official data from Australia shows a marked reduction in gun-related crime and injury following recent restrictions on the private ownership of firearms. Baker, I dont see the Olympics as being practical, it is a sport, not something that people make use of, it is entertainment not practicality. In the society that I live in there is no use for a gun, I agree with you, that in the outback or in farming situations that guns may be of use, other than that I really dont see any practical, and by practical i mean of true human benefit, other than to kill. I dont see the olympics as benefi

Baker I agree with your points wholeheartedly! It should be a two way street! We should be trading equally, unfortunately we are talking about large corporations who are expoliting the workers rather than helping the people that they should be, the workers. Thanks Baker.

Ok ive read all your responses.. and what im seeing is that you guys mostly are living in a society where living with guns is acceptable and actually a part of your society. Where I am coming from it is not the norm, so it isnt something that most people I associate with or live around think about, so for me it is something totally foreign, we dont need guns here to live or to protect ourselves or to kill anything. Someone brought up the argu
Austrailias crime rate is "higher" now than it ever was before they took away the guns. Is it to do with the guns though? I also don't think it's fair that some should be made to

In one of my recent articles about prized possessions there are a few comments about people owning guns and how it is their prized posession. In Australia, we have strict gun ownership laws. The average person doesnt own a gun here. I mean why else would you own a gun unless you were going to kill something or someone? Sure I can see people
