Now that I'm older, have a family, and know that indeed, while most of these people are just cowards, some of them may be truly violent sociopaths, I use more discretion. So I tend not to try to "egg them on". But make no mistake, someone comes to my house after making such a threat I can't reasonably make the distinction of wh

Hey dharma, good for you. It's great you can knit - a skill I do not possess but which I did. The hat sounds nice. I've been trying to find a nice one for my 3yr old. It gets cold here in Fl too - yikes!

"Fight the good fight. Do not allow our ability to communicate with one another be decimated by some pompous fools with a semantics fetish." Why should they communicate? Why bother to read to find out the meanings of words and/or phrases and to see how they are used? And by academia no less. "The phrase "You're fired!" (And accompanying hand gesture)" ... is so tiresome. and this one too ..“Red/Blue states”. <BR

It's that time again, time to make resolutions, make promises that won't be kept or be completely broken. Ah yes, you know it, the New Year's Resolution. It will be the talk of all media network for the entire month of January and possibly two weeks in February. I gave you an "insightful" rating because I found your article, witty, true and interesting! It's absolutely true how the rest of the world view us and it's absolutely just our cultural differences.

"Our planet is ringing like a bell at the moment. Is anyone listening?" Phoenix, if they're not listening now, they damn well better wake up and smell the coffee! I just got a newsflash that the death toll has reached 100,000!!!!! This is such a horrible event in our history (history of the world) that there's no way to comprehend it.

Indeed Raven, the sea will never be looked at the same again. It will always be in the forefront of everyone's mind I'm sure. It's such a tragedy, it wrenches my gut whenever I hear about all the lives lost. Those children, women, the more affected by the whole thing. It's absolutely a nightmare. It will be hard, but we can only pray and hope that they will be able to have some sense of normalcy soon.

I wasn't sure what to entitle this piece. I've been thinking about this a lot recently, Faith and what it means to me. Recently, a week or two a go, I was channel surfing and saw a program called "Faith Under Fire" on Pax TV. I've never watched this program, nor did I know about it. Upon observation, they were talking about Faith and Christianity; w

1) You admit to doing these lame things but try to rationalize and justify your actions. If you're lame, like me, embrace it. Don't weasel out of your lameness. Either stop being lame or admit to being lame. Brand, I guess being guilty of two from your list isn't bad, so, I guess I'm "Lame" too ! <b

Swell gifts folks. I made out pretty well myself, Shoes, shoes and more shoes (can you tell I'm a shoe lover!), jewellry, Diamond & Sapphire perfume, and lovely glassware. Speaking of eating, I cooked up quite a bash for Christmas dinner. I sampled everything! As for diets, there will be lots of resolutions for the New Year!

One of the joys of life is that you never know what tomorrow will bring. Something wonderful could be just arond the corner. But the down side is that something horrible could be as well. While it is bad that all those people died and even more are hurt, we should live each day to its fullest so that when it's our turn to die (wh

It's a horrible thing to have happened to these people. Especially at this time. I've heard people were actively doing what they do on a daily basis, even vacationers were on the beaches and they all got swept away. It's absolutely horrible.
