Me too but it was my desktop, power supply fan went out,replaced the whole power supply and the battery back up just for the heck of it. By the second day I was going thru withdrawls. Now I plan to buy a new sound card and hard drive. Don't need to but I love new stuff. I just replaced two fans in the last couple months and forgot the power supply one. Stupid me, oh well. Sure hate to be without my "puter".

I understand all of this, my point is that we allow "guests" to download free, do we not? Then they pass them to someone else or another site. We have no control over those who do this. Anyone who wants mine can have them, I really don't care. Funny, I don't think I am Rembrant, but some here do. We are giving them up for free here to folks and now you complain that your stuff is being taken without permission. I understand we want people to come here but when you have 3 members online and 1600 guests, do you really think this will make those 1600 buy/pay for anything. I wish we didn't let people download anything without making some type of purchase, but we do, up to a limit.

Yep, same here, heard it was bad to shut the darn thing off and on, but you know what, it does collect alot of dust in the fans when it's on all the time. You will and should change your fans every year, I do. I buy them on sale and hubby or son put them in. If your computer doesn't sound quiet while on it is on, most likely the fan is dirty. It's about time someone took this on for real. I really don't have any ideas for you, I just know there isn't anything out there I like at this time really. Netscape was another wasn't it? I don't remember, really I had something else once but went back to Explorer for obvious reasons. Really haven't looked for something else because I was scared it would just be too difficult to get to use it and learn it. Good Luck. Make it simple and easy to use and they will come.
