Your fucking article was WRITTEN as an attack on me, you paleolithic moron! Yes, there were other targets, but you called me out BY NAME!

LW, That's why I love eating at bars. They make their money on booze, not food, so you buy the food far cheaper there than anyplace else. 'round here we have great hamburgers at the local drugstore for 99 cents each on Saturdays...with a bag of chips. Cheeseburgers go for $1.49. It's cheap eats when we take the kids out. Where else can a family of 8 fill up for $20?

The reality is that health insurance for a family in this country is at least $700-800 per month. I've disproven this lie so many times it's not even worth it, Col. Although the AVERAGE cost for health ins. premiums is $11,000, average means that there are many plans higher, but ALSO MANY PLANS lower. Please take a course in statistics before you embarrass yourself further. I found, and SHOWED many plans WELL under $700-800/month. As did LW. A

oh, the second one. Didn't catch that one, LW. He's right of course that it was misused. But I was pissed when I put it together. It was late, I was tired. Still, as TW said it was not technically a spelling error and at least it was flipping READABLE! But I digress. I never claimed perfection, it's just that when my seven year old has a better sense of grammar and substance than you do, Danielost, it's quite frightening. You're lying when you said I continually attac

I feel sorry for Oprah Winfrey, I really do. I know that she meant a world of good when she set up her school for girls in South Africa. She meant to give them a hope and a promise of a better future. And that makes Oprah Winfrey a marvelous woman in my book, regardless of the actions of her staff. But she learned all too well that the liberal mantra that "it takes a village" is so deluded, so wrong, as to be dangerous. It's the same lesson that we should learn from our own US

No, Daniel. "From here on out" is the proper phrase. Believe me on this one. It is NOT "from hear on out" as you insist. God, you're a riot. I honestly didn't believe anyone so pathetically stupid could turn on a computer, much less use one.

as for civil words. you attack me on a reguler basis and i keep myself civil toward you. Bullshit, daniel. You have the worst persecution complex of anyone I've ever seen. I've been beyond civil to you lately. But apparently you're some kind of masochist. I'm beginning to believe Lucas has a kid brother and you're it!

so your perfect and have never misspelled a word. i have to meet you i have never meet a real perfect person before. Blow me, asswipe! You called me out on your thread...don't even THINK about hearing a civil word from me from hear on out, got it, cumchunk?

usually misspelling something in that post. Oh, now that is flat out crap! I've actually tried to be halfway nice to you, danielost, but since you seem to WANT to play the victim, I'll start giving you cause from here on out, ok?

For the record, danielost, I hae not deleted a single reply of yours. What you don't seem to realize is that your freedom to spout idiotic nonsense is also MY freedom to CALL you on it! We both have freedoms, and neither's is greater than the other's.

There's another major reason why the response was so much better . . . In New Orleans they were largely minorities, whereas in California they were largely wealthy home owners. Yeah, SC, we're all looking for every chance to "get darkie"! Para is right. I DISTINCTLY remember the call going out to evacuate New Orleans TWO FULL DAYS before the hurricane struck! Was it a self hating black mayor who refused to mobilize the school busses? Or was it t

Daniel, Nobody here has done anything to hinder your free speech rights as guaranteed by the Constitution. Get over yourself. When you are on my blog you operate under my rules. When you are in my house, you operate under my rules. That is because I have rights to my property, be it intellectual or physical. Again, I say, get over yourself. Whining about your free speech rights doesn't make you look intelligent, but rather the contrary. No police have

Great list tho! Thanks. I actually thought about making the list "under $25" specifically so that I could include the 2GB Sandisk, but I figure this list gives people a good starting point and they can look around and adjust it to their price range. Yes, please... ditto...lol!

I still don't believe the "losing out on overtime" thing. It's been five years, but I heard this complaint from my coworkers a lot and I saved paychecks with just one hour of overtime and checks with 30-40 hours of overtime. How many kids did you say you have? You're a single guy, right? The problem, as Jythier said, is with withholding, not actual taxes, but it DOES occur, noumenon. What happens is, when you claim all of your deductio

There are some here at JU that, as near as I can tell, never frequent my blog cause I ain't NEVER gotten comments from them, yet I"ve visited their blog and commented. Trudy, When your blog is of interest to me, I visit. But the topics that interest you aren't usually of interest to me. I'm not meaning to be offensive in saying that; by all means, write what you feel important. I'm just saying that can cost some readership. That's w

Personally, I want the helicopter, but I ain't gonna demand anything as gifts should be picked by the giver, not the recipient Agreed. Although if anyone is so inclined, I'm especially partial to #4, 5, 6, and 7 (I already have #1, 2, 3, and 9).

#1 is a real shame. It is a solution looking for a problem. I disagree, Dr. Guy, and in the coming months you're going to find out why. When a young couple has to bury their one month old child because the hospital turned them away repeatedly and refused to run tests because they were on Medicare and not private insurance, there is a problem. And one more of America needs to be aware of. The problem is, politicians on both si

Now if you're getting some kind of benefit that phases out with income (the EITC?), those are the kind of situations where you can lose out by making more money. Nope, no benefit, noumenon. The way it has been explained to me (and the literally dozens of others I've talked to who have had similar experiences) is because I claim ALL my exemptions for withholding, at a certain point it calculates the wage for that pay period as if you were paid that for

As a tech geek, I have been asked several times what to get for everyone's favorite techie. This year, I've decided to compile a list of top ten tech gifts for under $20 for those who want to buy a meaningful gift on a budget. That, and it gives me the chance to promote a few favorite sites. In compiling this list, I only chose good sample products. You may find a brand you like better, a website you like better or something slightly different. I only put the list together as a starti
