Does the existance of GalCiv IV mean Gal Cive 3 availability will disappear along with our digital bits to play the game because some 3rd party launcher decides it needs for sever space?

Sure would like some assurance from Start Docks that I have actually bought the right to run the program despite what epic might do.
For the same reason that I stopped buying EA games and Ubisoft games, I won't have anything to do with Epic store. You can call it whatever you like but I'm just not interested and every game that's exclusive there I haven't bought even after the timed exclusive. I don't have the attention span that I used to and my backlog of games is in the hundreds, so I either get it on release or I don't bother and if its a part of
thes4e launchers may remove our game for any reason at any time. When I buy something I expect to be able to run it any time I please.
Basicaly some of us HATE to launch through on line launchers which lead to other launcher I know it is a DRM thing but come on guys this is ridiculous,
all I get is page not found.
No mention of being able to play the game off line if Steam/Epic/ someother platform is off line or otherwise unavailable.[e digicons]>:([/e]
It isn't them going down long term, it is the requirement to have access to them just to play the game in single player mode.. Companies EVERY company experiences occasional outages and it is a real drag that you cannot access your stuff because your internet is down or their system is down.
Really? I have about 400 GOG games...never had an issue with them. Of course I download all the files and only install when I want to play one in particular.
Keep in mind that internet access issues will be more common with the Nation State ransome ware hacker and ISP screwups....Ive had way too many of them lately.
Quoting MagiK1, reply 1 There should be an easily accessible PDF file listing the differences between GC III and GC IV I bought into the Alpha but Id like an In depth doc. Galactic Civilizations
Id still like to know recent internet outages have me concerned about not being able to access my purchased games. Origin for example took 8 games I had paid for and just removed them from my account and from their servers. Without notice I might add.

I too would like to know, I hate having launchers launching launchers to play the game and I will reallly want to play the game I purchesed when I do not have internet access which happens sever times a year in Southern Maryland / D.C.
As for how I find out about software, it is usually from things I subscribe to, like Stardock mag, or Steam announcements or word of mouth.
Stardock May 2019 Magazine, Im kind of interested in the unannounced software that makes games. It should be an interesting ride.. When Beta Testers are needed perhaps I can be included. MagiK1
So it is just a known bug?
I uninstalled Deskape8 and manually installed the 10Beta using my current OD product key just fine, but should it not show up in OD?
yeah I am a founder, will check the links presently. I must have missed that email.
I have this icon on my desk burning a hole in my screen but when I click on it it says missing the executable :D Tease :P ;)
Ok I am not getting it...I thought release date would be listed by now, is there a release date yet? I thought it was going to be 2017 then May 2018 and now we are in June... ???
CariElf I would like to applaud your post about civility and how people "ask" for things. Well worded and the explanations were excellent. Thank you for your work. P.S. Sorry this is so late in coming (your post was made on July 27th)
Not sure what setting you are on,but I just played a duel to the death in a Large environment and I was clearly the superior CIV in all catagories and the AI did declare war on me and attack me several times untill I wiped them out.
