There is a chaos spell that has the effect of a meteor strike, its called "Call the Void". It does 10 hits of damage to any units stationed in the city regardless of defence (kinda like hitting all units with a doom bolt), each building in the city has a 50% chance of being destroyed, corrups surrounding land and some other effects I cant remember.

Changes are good, I'm looking forward to it. But a classic mode would be nice too, so that when I have the urge to play it, I won't have to load up dosbox and play MoM 1 :)

That or DosBox. If you want to try out dosbox, there's a tutorial at http://www20.brinkster.com/kadirclan/ Dont think there's a way to get MoM to run on a Mac though, unless you use a Windows emulator..

It may be more likely, but it isn't certain that Stardock make money doing there own thing. In business, and the games market, nothing is ever certain. Btw, do you think people are stupid. Why not post on their forum? The MoM clone isn't that far off from completion. The coders love feedback :) At least if MoM2 doesn't make it, we'll have the clone to play..

Damn, must I choose between StarCon or MoM? They're my favourite games of all time, only matched by PlanetScape: Torment. I would prefer MoM, though, unless the original writers are planning to work on StarCon.
