Yay! She's right, K. You're going to be an awesome CNA. The CNA's that work at my grandma's nursing home take such good care of her, even though they're completely overworked and underpaid. And the LPN's and RN's that provided care for my father and grandfather at the end of their lives...they hold such a special place in my heart. And even after all these years they still remember us and ask us how we're doing. Have you thought about goi

I went to a private, Christian college, and I know I am tho muth smaaaat-er dan YOOOOOUUUUUUUU! *puffs out chest*
Congratulations, Jyth.
I'd talk to your dr. about aspirin. It has other medical benefits other than being an anti-coagulant. I should probably take it too cause I'm so damned fat. Oh...I'm 27 and I take between 3 and 7 pills depending on the day. Go me. lol. I think it's cool that you're spending more time trying new things and taking time to take care of YOU. I think that lots of people get lost in the land of work so much that everything else fades
These pictures make me remember how blessed I am to live in this country and so thankful for our military and their families...
K~ I'm so sorry for your loss. I've always been impressed with your take on death. It's just a part of life, a wonderful, sacred moment. I hope when I go someone can say about me what you've said about Mrs. My sympathies go out to Mr. and his family. I can't imagine losing my spouse...
Shades, Psychotic? Ummmm...right. This "friend" has no idea about you at all. I understand what you say about wanting people to like you. Sometimes I feel like I can't even make my own husband like me, let alone the world outside our home. I think you did the right thing. You stuck up for your former friend because she wasn't being treated the way she deserved to be. Some women are completely blinded by "love," and
I think the people we're called to care about also care more about our hearts than our wardrobes. I suppose it would depend on who it is... Someone's gotta care about "America's Next Top Model," right?
I think that you're right. I know that I really pay NO attention to where the food I purchase comes from. When I go to WalMart to purchase, say, pasta, I just assume that the wheat its made from comes from the Dakotas, and you know, since I'm from there, I figure it's a quality product. I guess I just figure if it's on the shelf the FDA and the USDA have given the product its stamp of approval and it's safe. I suppose, as we know, its not t
It's not like *I*, or anyone else, really, can deny access to God. I guess some people's image of God is some faceless, strict being who will strike us down dead every time we sin (oh to have to live that way). My "image" of God is of a kindly grandfather, I guess. I imagine someone who rejoices every time I spend time with Him and talk with Him, no matter what I have to say. I imagine someone who is very disappointed with me when
If you really think your outward appearance is no reflection of your inner state, I can't help you. Let me tell you a little story. I grew up in hand-me-downs. All the clothes I owned were, to be perfectly honest, butt-ugly. But I went to church anyway, wearing what I had nonetheless. I
Aren't we supposed to go to God just how we are? I don't dress in formalwear every day, and I doubt that God cares. I think the state of our hearts is more important than what's on our bodies.
Al... Married, living in Wyoming (blah), will be teaching 2nd grade this year. I'm exceedingly boring. I think you need to write a life update blog...
I've missed you Al. Welcome back, Cotter.
B, I think that you're totally hot. I wish I had YOUR body, honestly. I'm not going to tell you that what you think is stupid, because I think that most women have body image issues. You might think that Adrian is totally hot and he doesn't deserve you, but I don't believe that at all. I don't think that he would choose some "skinny, buff" chick, over you. Your outer woman is beautiful, and your inner woman is beautiful, too. You're the total pac
That Acutane stuff is bad crap. I took it for awhile in my teens for acne. Even though I wasn't sexually active at 13, they practically insisted I take birth control pills (I refused) because if I were to become pregnant it would totally mangle the baby. As it turns out, it made me so ill after a few months that I quit taking it. It was awful, so I wouldn't doubt if it did indeed screw up your liver a little. I'm weird...My total cholesterol is like 170, but, like you, my good cho
lol...sign me up for the condom critter and the man thong. You're hilarious! I'm glad you're in your new house and you're taking care of YOU. It's so important to do that when you have a high-stress job, but you knew that. Take care, K.
Okay, so I seriously understand that banks are buisnesses and are out there to make a profit, but they seriously don't realize that they deal with humans. They completely take advantage of crappy situations. It's ridiculous. I hope that you can get you can get everything straightened out, LH.
lol...it was sweet that he sent you flowers. As Meg Ryan would say "Daisies are the friendliest flowers..."
Thanks everyone! I appreciate your well wishes!
You are *HOT* woman. Of course...I thought that you were hot before. You're just beautiful, no matter what. You have the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen, and I'd die for your hair. You're intelligent, gracious, patient. If you were a total bitch I'd think you were a total dog. That outer beauty you've got is just an extra plus. You're just special, B. And that's all there is to it. I'm glad that you're feeling goo
I'm on antidepressants and I'm still tired all the time. I don't know if I need a higher dosage as I'm on a fairly even emotional keel most of the time (as my writing reflects, hopefully!), if it's obesity-related, or something else. My bloodwork all comes back okay every time I have it done... I've cone to the conclusion that my body is retarded and I need a new one. Maybe in a few years medical technology will allow me to do that. That w
Marcie: I felt it was implied. I apologize for misunderstanding you. I wasn't very clear, B. I'm sorry as well. Iraq is in a civil war, but our soldiers *have* killed Iraqi civillians. Not on purpose, mind you, but to the rest of the world, it might not look like it. And when an idjit like Rose-tard has fodder like that, well, she can misconstru
ok, so multiplying casualty counts by ten isn't unethical? OK, let's talk about the 30,000 killed on 9/11! It's a little thing called sarcasm, folks.
I didn't say we were killing Iraqis.
