Just put them up when you get home babe. If it's any consolation I'm not even 25 and my ankles swell sometimes, too...usually in the heat and humidity of the summer, though...

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! In a world that so often just gives up when things get rough, you deserve a standing ovation for seeing things through. Happy 50th...and heres to many more happy years together!
It's totally lame-ass, Al...that's what it is. Oh...and since the queen bee happens to be quarantined at the moment, she can't comment...but I wrote an article about this topic once myself...what I envisioned blogging to be, and I got ripped a new butthole for it...just so you know.
Really...I guess I don't understand the animosity...I don't read EVERYONE's stuff...but I don't understand why she just...chomped on you like she did. And frankly, I think you should just ignore her all together. Let her talk trash. Everyone that knows you knows the truth about you. She'll find a new victim eventually. I don't see the purpose in beating a dead horse, and she keeps on beating you and Mike down...I just don't get it. But I'm a teac
Two words can explain all the madness: mental illness. Someone who does that to someone else has something emotionally wrong with him/herself, and said person has written articles about said illness. It makes sense. ANYWAY...things have been going fairly well. I asked my principal and assistant principal for letters of recommendation yesterday because I'm filling out applications for teaching positions in Minnesota. Hopefully something wi
Al~ It's so hard moving to a new place. I moved to Vegas from Minnesota in August, and while I go out for happy hour or to dinner with some of the teachers from work, we don't really have any "friends" either. Ryan's the only person I spend a substantial amount of time with. We did get involved with our church. One of our first Sundays there I just kinda jumped the gun and joined a Bible study at someone's home. And you know what? It's t
At least they weren't in the "clubhouse" making out with each other and showing their private parts to one another (like my first graders here in Vegas have been doing as of late). Isn't it cool when they act out what you're doing in class? Over conferences I had parents who told me that their daughter comes home and plays school with them...and SHE gets to be Miss Matson... lol.<img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
I was going to write an article on the same subject. I wonder if she's an only child? I wonder why her parents are so reluctant to let her go. It's been years. And once you marry, unless you specifically state legally, your spouse is your next-of-kin, right? I don't see where the issue is here. The whole point of marriage is leaving your parents house to make a new house, and now this poor woman's husband just doesn't want her to be humiliated an
Niks~ Glad to see you up and about blogging..haven't heard from you in a while. Let me look around...I'll see what I can find... Love you lots! Moo
I'm originally from Minnesota, but currently hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, Lord help me. We always enjoy our drive through Nebraska to and from Minnesota.
ME? Someone nominated little old me? How sweet, Ali! I love your blog, just so you know. I check every day to see if there's something new in your life. Meanest blogger: Hmmmm...I think meanest all around is Little Whip. If you say one wrong thing you're pretty much a goner. *wonders what kind of blog this will ilicit* Smartest blogger: I think
Amen. I have FIRST GRADERS who have too-baggy clothes because it's "cool". I also have first graders who dress like hussies because Mom does...yuck.
Karen~ I tend to do the same thing. I think I used to be an internet junkie as a matter of fact. I still like to tinker, but I'd much rather hang out with real people. I'd say that if you have something to write, just come here and write it, because its your blog. Maybe disable comments on the blogs you think might be a little more "controversial" or you think you'd have a hard time dealing with if someone wrote something less than kind.
You need therapy. That's all there is to it. Maybe I'll hook you up with Dr. Erwin...I'm sure he knows of someone who can help you deal with your obsession. But...at any rate, I love you, too, baby!
(6) Related to #3: God doesn't play politics. He didn't put Bush in office and he doesn't Favor America. In fact, there's a very good chance he's not even that keen on the US. Not b/c of the heathens but b/c of all the holier-than-though judgement freaks who are quick to get on a war bandwagon but perfectly wiling to let much of
Danny~ If she never actually told you to leave her alone...why not ask? If she's been hurt in the past...and it sounds like she has...she's probably just pushing you away because she's afraid to get hurt again...but....I guess I don't know much. lol
K~ I'm glad you let the administrator know. Sometimes parents expect us employees to be all knowing, but we're not. We keep a close watch, but if kids want to be mean or do something stupid, they'll find a place to do it where adult eyes can't see. My kids are at an age where they have to do something VERY extreme to get kicked out of school...but after the events that have been happening recently in my classroom, I think a day or two off b
I have two family members who are convicted criminals, and...I don't know...I guess I just don't understand or it's been long enough that my anger at them has passed. My cousin is a murderer. Over a decade ago he took another young man's life. He served his sentence in state correctional facilities and is now out in his own place, working hard, building relationships. I was really little when it happened...like...3rd or 4th grade...so I g
Cares~ Good for you! FFA is an awesome organization. I wish I'd taken part in it when I was in HS....lots of my friends were in it and I kick myself in the butt for not doing it. Let us know how it goes!
Still...it's like...you two are committed, but it's not as easy for some husbands and wives to do that after a deployment EVERY year. I know there's things to do abroad, and I'm thankful that D is willing to do that, and I'm thankful that you're willing to put up with it no matter what. But there comes a point where a family, a marriage is just as important as that foreign policy...I think anyway.
I do the same thing...and you're not an idiot. Maybe your therapist friend can recommend some things that you can do to strengthen your memory recall... I have no idea...I wonder how many days out of a year I spend looking for something...
Is D going to be a career militiary man, K? Duh, right? But he's got so much training that he could get into law enforcement as a civillian, too... What are your family's thoughts on that?
Right on, Karen! That's complete bull! Corporate headquarters is probably in freakin Taiwan where you're not going to get anyone to speak English there, either. You get your money back and drop it here...
You know my take on it... I think there's lots of happiness out there for you to have, and you're not letting yourself do that, and that makes *me*...and alot of other people who feel like they know you through all these cables and wires...really sad for you, because we think that you deserve better. Have you considered the fact that she just might be a springboard for the true love that you want? She might have been a taste...and ho
