Congrats [e digicons]:meow:[/e] !!!
Thanks Jim...I think I replied to everyone. Whew, WHAT a week!!! (like Seger's Against The Wind...what to leave in, what to leave out...) [e digicons]:time:[/e] [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Booooo! The evil rich....hisssss! [e digicons]>:([/e] I think we should tax or simply TAKE everything from those who've finished their education, stuck with a career, worked hard or brought an idea to fruition and give it to the poor slackers who do nothing all day. After all, especially if they're an American born citizen, aren't they "entitled" to a free ride??? [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] NOT! Obviously I'm being facetious. I RE
What blind is it?
Not a WB...that would be an Aston theme "Hacker's Lair". I think you'd like that program, Ross...all the "extras" are included in one theme package. [e digicons]:|[/e] @ - k10w3 - Thanks...XP, Vista and 7 of the blind are complete so now comes the hard part...finishing details and testing, testing, testing! [e digicons]:S[/e]
Congrats Cyndie and Vampothika! Sort of a weird outcome but both blinds are really GREAT!
Mine 3. The blinds are still the same and so is my vote...
So who won? We gotta wait 'til midnight?!?!? [e digicons]x_x[/e]
Ahh, how about 2+2+1=5.
Duh, my bad, I was thinking in 2's...so me feel stewpid 2 [e digicons]o_O[/e]
A "tie" from 5?!?! 0+5=5...1+4=5...2+3=5....3+2=5...4+1=5...5+0=5. It don't compute, John....
Dangeruss? Is he back?
The FIRST thing I've done with all the blinds is check them section by section in SKS then use them like I would any other blind during the course of a routine day and finally I'm thinking about how it would look as an entire suite of skins. Just my criteria though... to each his own.
Two judges have voted so far.
Hopefully I'll have mine (vote) in by tomorrow. I've given each one a day of use so today it'll be Tea Time's day. Gonna be a tough decision though...they're ALL good!
Decided to give Pale Moon a try
Me too. Think I'd heard of it before but didn't give it a go until now. So far, so good.... [e digicons]:|[/e]
I think it (IE9) sucks in every way (design, performance and function) but since I'll eventually have to skin it for WB, it'll have to take up some space in the corner...
Now I got 'em all.... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
2400 - Eastern, Central, Pacific or Specific time???
Oh where, oh where is #5, he impatiently ponders. You still alive and kicking skinning, Ross?!?!? [e digicons]:|[/e]
Got all 4...waiting on 5, but gotta say...damn fine work y'all!

Usually the last thing I do before releasing a blind is open the .uis and .sss files in a text editor (notepad, notepad++) and scroll down the list to make sure everything is named properly, set correctly, add an extra command if need be, etc. Seems command line changes there aren't as "iffy" as they are sometimes in SKS...especially the newer versions. That's just me though... [e digicons]
Tom's old school and back in the day...when you walked five miles to school...in the snow...both ways
dang, forgot the uphill both ways part too.... [e digicons]:|[/e]
There used to be a company also that made an application similar to SkinStudio for designing skins in .msstyles format
I know it was made by tgtsoft but not sure about the program name. Stylebuilder...maybe??? It's been awhile since I dabbled in VS. Wonder
Tom's old school and back in the day...when you walked five miles to school...in the snow...both ways, Litestep, Aston and VS skinners used notepad and a good hex editor to do what SKS does today. Still today, when I make the occasional Aston theme, notepad++ is what I use for creating the entire theme (no "skinning" program available from them yet) so some of you pups really got it made and don't know it.... Going by your screenshot, the "how to" is listed below. If it's the search background described in your post, what Lightstar said is correct... [e digicons] left side - Edit Vista / 7 Explorer Parts> Folders Bar> Extra Settings> Background Colour right side - Explorer Backgrounds> Active/Inactive Window> careful though....whatever images you use will be tiled [e digicons]>_>[/e]
